We are Biblical
The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the source of our faith and life at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Bible is all about Jesus (John 5:39), and so God uses his word to create faith in our hearts (Romans 10:17).
We are Confessional
All churches believe the Bible. We at St. Paul Lutheran Church believe, teach, and confess that the Lutheran confessions contained in the Book of Concord are the best explanation of what the Bible says and means.
We are Liturgical
God forms us as a church by baptism and the preaching of his word. Our sins are forgiven as we receive Christ's body and blood on the altar. We also sing and pray God's word back to him. We have kept the best parts of the Church's ancient liturgy.
We are Lutheran
What we today call St. Paul Lutheran Church began as a congregation of Lutherans in Augusta, KY in the mid nineteenth century. We are thankful for faithful Lutherans who sacrificed so that this congregation still survives.
